2017 Rosé de Saignée
Los Carneros, Sonoma
Sustainably farmed old-vine Pinor Noir from a small vineyard just outside the town of Sonoma. The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in barrels on native yeasts. We halted malolactic fermenation and racked twice to steel during élevage. The wine spent twelve months in neutral French and American oak barrels prior to a coarse pad filtration and cold stabilization. Wonderfully light and elegant, this effortless rosé showcases notes of strawberry, apricot, with subtle citrus and clove on the finish. Four barrels; 90 cases produced.
