It started with one barrel.
We came to Napa Valley with a singular dream to make high-quality wine from the world-class grapes of Northern California. We left behind our lives on the East Coast, packed all our belongings and our then-two year-old twin daughters, Audrey and Scarlett, into our car and drove across the country. It started with a dream and one barrel of premium Napa Cabernet Sauvignon in 2007, and we haven’t looked back since.
The name Crosby Roamann is an homage to vintner Sean W. McBride’s maternal grandmother, Norma Crosby (fondly nicknamed Peachy in her chorus girl days) and his great-grandmother Sally Roamann, the founding retail maven behind Roamann’s department stores, circa 1920s New York. Crosby Roamann pays tribute to these strong, entrepreneurial women, to family, hard work and ambition passed on through a family legacy of artists, romantics and independent spirits.
Sean and Juliana McBride, the husband-and-wife team behind Crosby Roamann, now continue their own family legacy in Napa Valley by applying the same passion and commitment to sourcing fruit from some of Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino County’s finest organic, biodynamic and small, sustainable family vineyards, to make distinctive, high-quality wines, by hand, with minimal intervention in the vineyard or the winery.
Join us on our adventure, and at the table, to share and enjoy our conscientiously farmed, sourced and handcrafted wines.
